Originally from Montreal, Canada, Suzanne has been based in Oaxaca since 1998. She’s a writer and tour guide, and along with her husband Benito, runs an independent tour company organizing and guiding trips in Oaxaca city and the surrounding region.
Suzanne leads urban walking tours, museum visits, day trips to archaeological sites, markets, and handicraft towns, food tours of street stands and upscale restaurants, and has even offered some virtual tours.
She travels throughout Mexico to research accommodations, activities, and events, including bi-yearly trips to Yucatan, Cancun and the Riviera Maya, and takes extensive road trips throughout central and southern Mexico with her husband and two kids.

Prior to moving to Mexico, she received a degree in Anthropology from McGill University, and she puts that background to use in understanding and interpreting Mexican culture and history.
