"Hello everybody! I'm Andres and I'm a Go Ask A Local Chile expert and local travel agent.
With over 15 years of designing, arranging, and coordinating trips throughout Chile and our neighboring countries, I like to think that I know this part of the world pretty well!
A native of Chile (Santiago, the capital), my passion is to show my country and all its diverse destinations, its culture, food, and distinctive activities to travellers like you. I regularly visit every corner of Chile, north & south, and can usually be found trying out unique restaurants, going on new adventures, and discovering little-known places so that I can recommend the best activities to my clients.

We’ll ask you a series of 30+ detailed questions that really dig into you, your trip, your interests and travel style, and what you want to discuss with your Local Expert.
The questionnaire will cover things like: the dynamics of your group, the things you enjoy while traveling, your budget, how early you want to start your day and how late you want to end it, whether you want to hit the highlights or roam the back streets, and even what types of restaurants you want to eat at.
Your Local Expert will focus only on your interests and travel style.

Our goal is not to plan your trip for you, but rather to help you plan a better trip independently. To that end, our Local Experts will give you all of the information that you need to confidently put your trip together yourself.
When Local Experts recommend things like restaurants, hotels, excursions/activities, tours, drivers, etc., they’ll provide you with contact details and links so that you can make the final arrangements on your own.

To start things off, we’ll connect you directly with Andres by email or video call to begin discussing your trip.
Here’s how it works:
Email: If you’d prefer to get things rolling with an email, we’ll ask you to submit a short form with some basic information about you and your trip. Andres will review that and will then reach out with some initial ideas and questions for you.
Video call: Alternatively, if you’d rather to talk with Andres right away, you can schedule a free 20-minute introductory video call. During the call, you’ll get to discuss the basics of your trip, hear some of Andres’ initial ideas, and get a feel for what working with him would be like.

After you’ve discussed the basics of your trip and Andres has a good understanding of your travel style and what you’re looking for, he’ll send you an itinerary outline and a price quote.
